Easy to use and cheap when you want to use a old iPod harddisk

It works great! I use it with a Toshiba MK4004GAH 1,8" harddrive. I don't no yet how fast it is, but it seems it works on the same speed as the harddrive is capable of. It's just an adapter without any fancy circuits. There is are only circuits to transform 5 volts into 3,3 volts.
